  • A group of operations management and industrial management students recently learned more about the operations and logistics involved in transporting the Cincinnati Bengals to their away games. The students talked to Bengals personnel and participated in a tour of Paul Brown Stadium.

A group of OM and IM students joined the local chapter of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals for a recent tour of Paul Brown Stadium to learn more about the logistics involved in getting an NFL team to away games. Bill Connelly, Business Manager for the Cincinnati Bengals, discussed all aspects of the planning and execution of moving all players, support staff and equipment for the Bengals to their away game locations. Bill is responsible for all operational aspects including procuring transportation, lodging, meals, etc. and ensuring that the Bengals stay on schedule.

Ellen Ritter, Bengals Events Coordinator, then led the students on a tour of the Paul Brown Stadium facilities during a Bengals practice. Students visited the visitors' locker room, the press box, coaching facilities and luxury suites.
