Hospitality management develops hospitality professionals well prepared for careers in exciting settings like hotels, restaurants, clubs, casinos and recreation.

Hands-on learning is central to the program. Mandatory co-op experiences enable students to ‘try on' their careers early, exploring and refining their personal goals. Seniors in the program complete a year-long project that further applies and hones their skills. PLEASE NOTE: Due to unreached enrollment targets and a reduction in state funding, the Carl H. Lindner College of Business is instituting a two- (2-) year phase out of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program.

Freshman admission to the BSHM program will be suspended beginning Fall 2011.

—Associate degree students now in the BSHM pipeline at academic partners (UC Clermont College, UC Blue Ash, the UC Center for Exploratory Studies and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College) WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE THEIR BACHELOR'S DEGREES in the BSHM program at UC but must transition into the program no later than Fall 2011.
