UC Guidelines

For information on the UC Brand and proper use of its assets, several resources are available.

  • UC Branding Standards manual available from the Governmental Relations & University Communications website on branding.
  • UC Stylebook is a guide designed to suggest consistent solutions to common problems faced by anyone writing about the University of Cincinnati.
  • UC logo artwork, refer to the Logos & Graphics website.
  • UC Trademarks & Licensing program exists to protect the name and identifying marks of the university and to prohibit the unauthorized use of university marks on commercial or other products. Before contracting with a vendor for production of any item bearing a UC mark, whether or not for resale, a visit to the Trademarks & Licensing website is required.

Lindner College of Business Guidelines

In addition to the UC Stylebook, please refer to the additional style guidelines below regarding the Lindner College of Business:

When referencing the college in writing (e.g., press releases, news postings, publications, newsletters, etc.), please use the full name on first reference:

  • Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati; or
  • University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business; or
  • UC Carl H. Lindner College of Business (if UC is known).

If it is evident that the college is a part of the University of Cincinnati, then you may use the following on first reference:

  • Carl H. Lindner College of Business

After the first reference of the full name, you may use:

  • Lindner College of Business

Please do not refer to the college as LCB. You may refer to the college as just Lindner or Lindner College but never LCB.
