Shaun Bond—Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance
Professor Bond earned his PhD in Econometrics from University of Cambridge and teaches Real Estate Finance and Empirical Finance. His research efforts have included work on performance measurement for REITs and the effectiveness of government tax subsidies for re-development areas in the UK. His research has been published in Journal of Business, Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Portfolio Management, and the European Journal of Finance. His teaching area includes real estate finance, financial, and financial econometrics.

Jeanne Schroer, Lecturer and Industry Liaison
Jeanne is a lecturer in real estate finance and also teaches the capstone real estate seminar course. Jeanne was previously the interim director of the UC Real Estate Center and currently works with the UC Center and is the Executive Director of the Catalytic Development Funding Corporation of Northern Kentucky. Jeanne was previously Senior Vice President of Corporex Companies, serving as a member of the Executive Management Board overseeing project financing, asset sales and annual business plans. Jeanne holds the MBA from Indiana University as well as Bachelor of Urban Planning degree from the University of Cincinnati. Jeanne has previously served as President of NAIOP (Cincinnati Chapter) and as Committee Chair of the ULI for Cincinnati. Jeanne also served as a committee member of the Riverfront Advisory Committee (1998-1999) Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kate Bridgman, Programs Coordinator
With over five years of experience within the commercial real estate industry as a retail broker, Kate Bridgman has been with the center since 2008.  Miss Bridgman brings to the center not only a strong knowledge of the Cincinnati real estate market, people, and trends,  but also valuable experience in the field of public relations and communications . Kate oversee all center recruiting, budgeting, marketing, event planning, development and relationship management.

Qing Bai, PhD candidate and database coordinator
Qing received her BA degree in Finance from Peking University, China and MPhil degree in Real Estate Finance from University of Cambridge, UK. She has internship experience in both real estate and investment banking industry. Her research interests range from real estate industrial organization, urban economics to real estate asset pricing. She is currently working on research project such as 'economic incentive of going green" and 'inequality of growth among cities and its determinants'. She has presented her research work on AREUEA annual conference.

Avis Devine, PhD candidate and student activities coordinator
Avis Devine is a first year doctoral student in the Finance - Real Estate department. Prior to coming to Cincinnati, she was the Assistant Vice President in charge of Commercial Real Estate Underwriting and Valuation for Dollar Bank, FSB in Pittsburgh, PA. Avis has a B.S. from Westminster College, majoring in Financial Economics, Business Administration and Music (Piano) and an M.B.A from Duquesne University with a concentration in Management. Her research interests include Commercial Real Estate, Green Building and Banking. Avis is originally from Buffalo, NY and now lives in Clifton with her husband, Sean, a doctoral student at CCM.

Mike Ferguson - Associate Professor of Finance
Mike is Associate Professor of Finance the Department's PhD program coordinator and earned his bachelor's and PhD degrees from Indiana University. Mike specializes in financial contracting including lending discrimination, bidding and risk arbitrage in tender offers and the corporate use of derivatives. Some of Mike's research includes, “Is Lending Discrimination Always Costly?,” Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, 21: 23-44, 2000 (with Stephen R. Peters) and "Equilibrium Anomalies," Journal of Finance, 58: 2549-2580, 2003 (with Richard Schockley).

Brian Kluger - Professor of Finance
Brian is Professor of Finance and his research interests include behavioral finance, experimental assets markets and real estate. Brian is a native of Ohio from the Cleveland area. Brian holds the Bachelors degree from Northwestern University and the PhD from Tulane University. Brian has been faculty at UC for more than 20 years. Some of Brian's research includes: “Integrating Auction and Search Markets: The Slow Dutch Auction,” Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, 5, 239-253, 1992 (with Paul Adams and Steve Wyatt); “Optimal Seller Institution and Seller Distress Costs,” Journal of Housing Economics, 3, 207-219, 1994 (with Paul Adams and Steve Wyatt) and "Are Judgement Errors Reflected in Market Prices and Allocations? Experimental Evidence Based on the Monty Hall Problem" Journal of Finance, 59: 969-997, 2004 (with Steve B. Wyatt).

William Whitaker - Professor of Finance
Professor Whitaker obtained his MBA and PhD from University of Kentucky. He has thirty years of academic experience, including twenty years as an academic administrator. Professor Whitaker has held positions at Florida State University, Morehead State University, Georgia Southern University and Ohio University. Dr. Whitaker has published a number of articles, reports and monographs in the areas of real estate investment, real estate valuation and economic development. Real estate research interests include commercial mortgage loan pricing, international real estate investment and real estate valuation.

David Brasington - James C. and Caroline Kautz Chair in Political Economy
David Brasington received his Ph.D. in economics from Ohio State University. He taught at Tulane University and Louisiana University before joining the University of Cincinnati in 2008. His research focuses on house prices and school quality, the determinants of school quality, competition between public and private schools, and school district consolidation. He has taught econometrics, game theory, and public economics at the Ph.D. level; managerial economics and real estate finance and investment at the masters level; and introduction to economics and urban economics at the undergraduate level.

Olivier Parent -Assistant Professor of Economics
Olivier Parent is an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati since 2006. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Saint-Etienne and holds a MA in Economics from University of Strasbourg. His research interests include spatial econometrics and regional economics. His research papers have been published in academic journals like Journal of Regional Science, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Papers in Regional Science, and Geographical Analysis. He teaches Spatial Econometrics (graduate), Regional Economics (undergraduate) and Statistics (undergraduate).
