Closure of BBA EXTEND
Like all UC Colleges, CoB has been required take a significant budget reduction that directly impacts our operating budget. This mandate from the central administration required that we review all our programs and services and find ways to cut the budget with the least amount of disruption to our students.
We regret that BBA EXTEND will be one of the five programs that the college will discontinue as a result of this budget reduction. The growing course demands on the Clifton campus combined with the faculty losses resulting from this budget reduction make it necessary to consolidate all of our teaching resources in our central location to serve the 2500 BBA students who are on this campus.
While new students will no longer be admitted to the program, we will work hard to ensure that all students currently in BBA EXTEND will receive all the necessary business courses needed over the next five quarters in order to graduate in June 2009. Some of these will be through video-conference with our Clifton campus courses, while others will use the current two-way model. I have asked Ralph Katerberg to work with our department heads on these course schedule plans to ensure that the pathway to graduation is complete.
