Aaron Pennington
I have eight years experience teaching in higher education. During this time I have taught at a large public institution, a small liberal arts institution and a Historically Black College. Prior to my time in higher education I spent a brief time in the practice of law and several years in public accounting. In public accounting I was able to experience working at a big four firm and a smaller regional firm. I have been admitted to the bar in Georgia and Tennessee, also I am a Georgia Certified Public Accountant.

Teaching Interest
  • At UC I have taught financial accounting, managerial accounting and the Legal Environment of Business at the undergraduate level. I also have taught Corporate Law & Social Responsibility and Accounting for Managerial Decisions at the graduate level. I have taught on ground and online for UC.
  • Prior to coming to UC, I taught courses including Auditing, the Intermediate sequence, Cost Accounting, Business Law for Accountants.
Research Interest
  • I have published in the area of fraud education at the undergraduate level. I have presented papers related to occupational fraud education, international trade law, and continuing professional education among higher educators. Currently I am interested in researching civil asset forfeiture.
