Rakel Sanchez is Health Management Director for HORAN and works directly with clients to design and implement customized wellness solutions that drive engagement and optimize employee health. An expert in wellness issues, she co-led implementation of HORAN’s 2017 Health Management Best Practices Survey, a comprehensive regional assessment of plan components, design, implementation and outcomes of 155 employers representing more than 100,000 employees across 18 industries.
Rakel has 10 years of experience in the Health and Wellness industry. She previously worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida where she served as Program Manager supporting the development and growth of the Health Promotion & Wellness program with the organization’s strategic accounts. Prior to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, she was with the Florida Department of Health serving as Tobacco Prevention & Control Specialist.
Denise Flickner is President/Owner of HealthWorks, a regional leader in on-site wellness services, bringing convenient and cost-effective wellness programs to companies with little-to-no work disruption. Denise started HealthWorks in 1999. A fitness instructor with a dietetics degree from the University of Cincinnati, she had just the right combination of science, passion, and energy to impact a fundamental misalignment she witnessed in corporate wellness programs.
HealthWorks specializes in biometric screenings, providing measurable solutions and documenting year over year improvements for her clients. Her company is now a full-service wellness partner with 20 employees and 30 contractors that engages directly with employees to discover risk factors, incentivizing them to improve their numbers.
Diana Wilson is HR Generalist of VonLehman and has over twenty years of human resource, office management and customer service experience. Early in her career at VonLehman, Diana provided HR consulting to various clients in the machinery and medical industries. Diana transitioned to a full time HR Generalist responsible for all areas of Human Resource with her primary focus on benefits, HRIS and employee wellness. As a leading member of both the benefits and wellness committees Diana provides guidance and direction to ensure employees and the firm maximize coverage and minimize cost.
Her passion for wellness led her to be an active member of the LiveWell Ft. Mitchell Coalition, formerly under the Skyward umbrella. LiveWell NKY focuses on increasing physical activity, healthy eating and tobacco-free environments.
Yvette M. Walker is the Senior Benefits Manager at The Gorilla Glue Company. Yvette is responsible for acquiring, managing, and maintaining all employee benefits for the organization. With more than 15 years of experience in the employee benefits and wellness field, she is able to ensure that Gorilla Glue offers competitive benefits to employees while providing cost savings to the company. Her passion for wellness programs and wellness initiatives shows in healthier employees and reduced medical costs.
In her spare time, Yvette enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her adult daughter, playing with her dog, and reading. With two Masters degrees under her belt, she is working on a third – in Health Communications.
