Professor Gorman's undergraduate degree is from the University of Oregon in Eugene and her MBA is from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Professor Gorman was recently named an Honorary Faculty Brother in the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. In 2002, she was the recipient of the EXCEL award which is awarded for exceptional dedication and outstanding contribution to undergraduate teaching. She was also awarded the 2004 Grilliot Award which honors a faculty member who has performed extraordinary service to students and student organizations. In 2006, she received the Kuamka Faculty Award by the African American Cultural & Research Center for her hard work and dedication in the classroom. She was also honored as a panelist for Best Practices in Teaching sponsored by the First Year Experience committee.
