Specialist: someone who is an expert in and devoted to a particular branch of study and/or work. Continuous and effective learning is critical as specialties constantly evolve, changing with new technologies, shifting markets, and intense competition.
Kolodzik Business Scholars hone their specialties by finding their passion and developing related capabilities. They choose courses and hands-on experiences to build their confidence, intuition and skills. In addition to the College's majors - including Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate, Finance, Marketing and International Business - here are additional, specialized options:
Biomedical Product Development - Kolodzik Business Scholars collaborate with Biomedical Engineering and Industrial Design students in the development of medical instruments. Students work directly with leading medical firms and surgeons in this highly innovative option.
Industrial Management – The BSIM (Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management) blends business and engineering, providing exceptional academic and professional training for post-modern manufacturing. For example, current students co-op at Toyota, studying auto industry logistics, and at General Electric, examining aerospace re-engineering.
